About The Event
In this class, participants will learn a simple, reliable technique for starting seedlings or vegetables and herbs with little equipment. Winter sowing provides a sustainable, climate-tolerant option for gardeners looking to expand their growing season and reduce indoor seed-starting challenges. Participants will go home with a container of planted seeds to nurture through spring planting outdoors and knowledge to start more at home. We will have organic seeds for lettuce, kale, spinach, artichoke, cilantro, chives and parsley. Participants can also bring their own seeds. All other materials will be provided.
The class is free but registration is required so we have enough materials. All ages welcome, children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
